Just Released: White House Proposes 3.1% Pay Raise for Military



As a result of President Trump's proposed 2020 budget, service members would see a 3.1% pay raise beginning next January (2020).

This proposal would also add roughly 30,000 more active-duty and reserve troops to the defend the greatest country on the planet.

The pay raise would break down to this, roughly:
- Junior enlisted troops would see an additional $815 annually
- Senior enlisted & junior officers would see an additional $1,500 annually
- O-4 with 12 years of service would see an additional $2,800 annually



 
According to President Trump, this is "the largest increase in a decade".

The overall $750 billion defense budget is hinging on Congress supporting an additional $164 billion in OCO.
