Honor our Troops With Concussions

Honor our Troops With Concussions

I’m sure you’ve heard about the Iranian missile attack. To debrief, Iran attacked a base in Iraq, where US forces were stationed. In fact, more than 1500 Americans were stationed there.

After the missile attack, the base was destroyed, leaving rubble and craters in the place of large facilities that served as shelter for our US Troops. Though nobody was killed, more and more American military men are being treated for concussions. At first the number was 11, but it has gone up to 34.

Donald Trump, initially said that the American public should be thankful that no one was hurt.

People are outraged that Trump has not taken the concussions of our troops seriously. They feel that our president is not properly acknowledging what really happened. The reality is that people got really hurt.

We have to support our troops wholeheartedly. Let’s take a moment to acknowledge all that our military does for our country. When they fight for our country, they’re giving up so much. They’re giving up time with their families and putting their health and lives at risk. Depending on the severity of concussions, they can be pretty serious.

Traumatic Brain Injuries

In fact, some US service members have been reported to have traumatic brain injuries (TBIs.) Those can debilitate you for life. It’s nothing to take lightly.

It comes with immense suffering, including pain to the local point of injury, dizziness, fatigue, memory loss, severe headaches, depression, and cognitive impairments. Not to mention the grief that the family and loved ones are enduring on a daily basis. TBIs can be permanent.

Was Trump purposely downplaying these issues because he doesn’t think concussions are a big deal? Do you think he was trying to withhold information to the public? Do you think maybe he did not know about the concussions or TBIs when he made that statement?

Let me know in the comments below!

Amen to our American heroes. God bless them and their families!

I am sure the President as well as most Americans are concerned about our service men and women everywhere.
Nobama, biden and hillary didn’t support our personel in Benghazi much less show genuine concern. Trump more than likely was playing iui t down to show strength to and imply failure to our enemies. Never pegged this for a anti Trump site. Use to be Treason to treat a President this way. Some of us still bleed Red, White and Blue. Not some left Yellow.
I sure this will not be posted. Good day. Pray for our leaders. AMEN.

President Trump only came out and said that there were no casualties after it was released by the military as such. To suggest that he is trying to deceive or cover up is ludicrous, especially after what he has already done for the military since being in office. Veterans’ unemployment recently reached its lowest rate in nearly 20 years. He signed the VA Choice Act and VA Accountability Act, expanded VA telehealth services, walk-in-clinics, and same-day urgent primary and mental health care. He secured a record $700 billion in military funding; $716 billion next year which will directly affect those families serving now. NATO allies are spending $69 billion more on defense since 2016. So does this sound like a president who does not hold the military in the highest regard? Evidently No one pondered the possibility of concussive repercussions. Thank you for your support of our military.
